Ringer Hut to Begin Testing Gyoza Robot

Nagasaki-based Ringer Hut, the nationwide chain restaurant known for its champon noodles, will begin testing a gyoza-filling robot at its Shinjuku, Tokyo shop at the end of this month. Gyoza, which sell for ¥270 yen for 10, are one of Ringer Hut’s most popular menu items. The company hopes the robot will serve to publicize its sanitary gyoza-making process. The robot costs a cool ¥12 million, but half of the cost was subsidized by the economic ministry, which has been handing out grants for testing robots in various industries. Source: Ringer Hut
