A demonstration of a delivery robot took place at the site of the former Kyushu University campus in Hakozaki. The European-made robot measures approximately 1.5 meters high and 1.2-meter wide and is capable of carrying up to 300 kg at a maximum speed of 6 km/h. A sensor detects obstacles on its way and is capable of following an assigned person owed or it can follow mapped data. This demonstration is part of the Smart City Project in Fukuoka City to solve issues facing an aging society. It also showed residents observed how technology can support their lives.
