Rugby World Cup Buses in Fukuoka

Nishi-Nippon Railroad Co., Ltd (Nishitetsu) has decorated five of their buses with rugby-themed designs. The initiative aims to help generate excitement ahead of next year’s rugby world cup, which will be held in Japan for the first. The exterior of one of the buses features Mount Fuji alongside the official mascot for the tournament (Ren-G). The design on the other four buses include players from the teams that will be competing at Fukuoka’s Level5 Stadium during the world cup. Fukuoka Prefectural Governor Hiroshi Ogawa Governor attended a ceremony to celebrate the new designs along with members of the Japanese national rugby team. The buses went into service on September 3. Source: Yomiuri Shimbun, 9/4/2018
