Saga City Elevates Future with Record-Breaking Budget

Saga City, led by Mayor Hidetaka Sakai, unveils a record 112.1 billion yen budget for FY2024, targeting a 7.2% increase from the previous year. This budget aims to host the National Sports Festival and the National Para-Sports Games, attracting over 330,000 attendees, and to advance Saga’s digital transformation with the Saga City Official Super App. Investments include 3.44 billion yen for the sports events, 163 million yen for the super app, and a comprehensive DX budget of 638 million yen for integrating disaster and evacuation information systems.
