Saibu Gas Co., Ltd. has entered the real estate market in Thailand. According to the company’s announcement on Feb. 4, they will mainly target upper-class customers and will start selling houses from the summer of 2020. The Saibu Gas Thai base, launched in January 2019, will establish a joint venture company with a local developer. The timing of the diversification is linked to the increasingly competitive domestic gas market due to the liberalization of gas retail sales and to the company’s strategy of pursuing profits by expanding business abroad.
