Fukuoka City-based Saibu Gas revealed it will begin sales next spring of a dispersed power system-type of power fuel cell for the home to be used as a supplementary power source for heating water and other applications. The fuel cell provides green energy because it emits very little CO2. The government also plans to provide a partial subsidy for people purchasing the fuel cells. The company hopes to employ the device to compete against Kyushu Electric’s devices that are powered entirely by electricity.
