Sakura Blossoms Expected to Bloom Early in Kyushu

Over the weekend, the first spring storm hit northern Kyushu, marking the beginning of spring. As people eagerly await the arrival of the season, the Japan Meteorological Agency has announced that this year’s cherry blossoms are expected to bloom earlier than usual, with an estimated date of March 19th for Fukuoka City, three days earlier than average. It is predicted that Fukuoka City and Kochi City will be the first to see cherry blossoms in Japan. Other cities in northern Kyushu, including Kumamoto, Nagasaki, Saga, and Oita, are expected to see cherry blossoms between March 21st and 22nd. Meanwhile, private weather company Weathermap predicts that Fukuoka City will see cherry blossoms on March 17th, Nagasaki City on March 21st, and Saga and Kumamoto on March 22nd.
