Sharp Increase of COVID-19 Infections on US Bases in Okinawa

An increasing number of novel coronavirus-infections was reported at the U.S. military bases in Okinawa last week. Thirty-six daily cases were announced on July 15., while the cumulative total between Jul. 7 ~15 stands at 132. The U.S. provided Okinawa with information on twenty-two personnel who visited local beaches and shops shortly before their infections were confirmed.
