Shinkansen & Omiyage Museum Opens In Hakata Station

The Sanyo Shinkansen & Omiyage Museum opened in Hakata Station on March 30 and will run until May 14. The museum will host an exhibition corner with models of historical shinkansen as well as an omiyage (souvenir) corner that will sell Kyushu exclusive sweets and souvenirs including menbei (a famous brand of mentai-flavored rice crackers) and the limited edition of Hiyoko and Hashiru Nippon-ichi sweets which were originally exclusively sold on the shinkansen. The museum will be open everyday from 09:00 ~ 20:00.
