The Fukuoka Branch of Teikoku Databank released a 2020 sales ranking of domestic shochu producers, topped by Kirishima Shuzo for the ninth straight year. The survey also disclosed that amongst the top 50 companies, 39 reported less income during 2020. Also, combined sales for those 50 manufacturers dropped by 19% compared to that of 2008.
