Skynet Asia Airways of Miyazaki City announced they will operate under the new name of Solaseed Air starting July 1, when they begin operation of new Boeing 737-800 aircraft. They plan to acquire and put into service six of these new aircraft by FY 2012. The company said the concept of the new name was to spread the seeds of smiles from the air. They spelled it “sola” to combine that with the rising notes of the musical scale. The airline now operates roundtrip flights between Haneda in Tokyo and the cities of Miyazaki, Nagasaki, Oita, Kumamoto, and Kagoshima.
