Sony to Expand Nagasaki Plant Capacity
Sony announced that it will expand the capacity of the Nagasaki Technology Center in Isahaya, Nagasaki Prefecture, a plant operated by its Fukuoka City-based subsidiary Sony Semiconductor. They plan to invest about 80 billion yen in the expansion by September 2013. The objective is to boost the plant’s production capacity for smartphones and tablet-sized multifunction terminals.
