Sales have been excellent for the Sasuga South Kyushu Rating Guide 2007-2008 published in March 2007 by a committee whose members include JR Kyushu and the prefectural governments of Kagoshima, Kumamoto, and Miyazaki. More than 8,500 copies of the guide have been sold to date. The 238-page A5-sized book includes color photos and articles on sightseeing locations and other spots in seven areas in the region. Nine people in the publishing industry rate the sites using a star system, with three stars being the highest rating.
