On June 25, the Nishi-Nippon Railroad Company (Nishitetsu) announced that they will operate a special limited train service from July until September as part of celebrations to commemorate 80 years since the Tenjin Omuta Line first opened. The company also revealed that the nameplate that was used on the front of the limited express train 60 years ago will be returning. Kyushu Railway opened the Tenjin Omuta Line in 1924. The service initially ran from Fukuoka to Kurume and was then extended to Omuta in 1939. The commemorative train will be blue to match the color of the first limited express train, which started in 1959. Source: Mainichi Shimbun, 6/25/2019
