Fukuoka City has announced that 100 companies have now used the services provided by the Startup Cafe to help set up their businesses. Since being designated a National Strategic Special Zone, Fukuoka has placed great emphasis on cultivating the next generation of entrepreneurs, providing specialized consultations and the chance for people to network since 2014. The 100th company, called Golface, is from Taiwan. They developed a golfing application for smartphones and chose Fukuoka as their base to enter the Japanese market.
