A startup support center housed in a renovated vacant shop in the shopping arcade outside the west exit of JR Koga Station has been completed. Dubbed Create Space Miraco, the center features conference rooms of varying sizes and a gallery space as well as a cafe that serves dishes made from local ingredients. The space is operated by Koga Mirai, a foundation that develops products that harness the specialties of the area. The center, a joint effort with a group of local citizens aiming to revitalize the town and promote startups, students and local businesses, will begin soliciting members from both within and outside Koga.
