An object made of straw, representing the Space Battleship Yamato 2202, is on exhibit at the Yasunosato Park of Chikuzen Town. As the centerpiece of the town’s annual food and agriculture festival, the city has created a giant straw object measuring 16 meters, using donations through the furusato nozei (hometown taxation) system. The floating battleship is scheduled to be on display until mid-January 2020; however, depending on the condition of the straw, the exhibition period might be shortened.
