Thanks to grants from the national government, Yanagawa City is offering reduced price bus tours between mid-Dec until the end of February. In order for a company’s tour to qualify for a grant it must satisfy the following conditions: it must use a chartered bus, come from outside of Yanagawa City, have at least 15 attendees (staff excluded), and visit/dine at two or more tourist attractions in Yanagawa. Day tours can receive a subsidy of ¥20,000 per bus, and overnight tours qualify for ¥40,000 per bus (latest checkout date: Mar. 1, 2016).
