Summer Bonuses for Public Employees Reduced

Summer bonuses for public employees were paid today. Due to the pandemic, bonuses in Fukuoka Prefecture were lowered for the second consecutive year, with the average amount for administrative employees at around ¥750,000. According to the prefectural government, this is the second consecutive year summer bonuses have been lowered and the first time since the Lehman Shock in 2009 and 2010. The amount paid to the governor, Mr. Hattori, was ¥3,323,092 and ¥2,615,437 to the chairman of the prefectural assembly. Fukuoka City Mayor Takashima received a bonus of ¥3,316,625. Source: NHK
