A surfing competition exclusively for government workers will be held in Miyazaki on October 21st and 22nd. With their eyes set on the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, employees of the local governments of Miyazaki City have teamed up to organize this unique surfing contest. Miyazaki is famous for its surfing spots, which can be enjoyed throughout the year. The executive committee, led by Nakamura Yoshihiro, aims to recruit around 260 participants. The application fee is ¥13,000 and aspiring participants can apply until the end of September. The fee also includes a social event.
