Tagawa Builds Heart Shaped Object to Attract Romantics

Tagawa City, home of the Mitsui Tagawa Mine, constructed a new heart-shaped object to celebrate the history of its coal mining. The object, Hyakunen no Kane (bell of 100 years,) commemorates the 111th year of the two massive chimneys standing inside the city’s coal-mining memorial park since the twin towers look like a lifelong couple. Tagawa City envisions the place will be visited by people for romantic occasions. Source: NHK News Web, 11/1/2019
