It has been announced that the much-loved television personality Tamori (real name Kazuyoshi Morita) will become a hometown ambassador for Ukiha City. Tamori is originally from Fukuoka City. However, Ukiha is his wife’s hometown so he maintains a strong connection to the area. The idea for Tamori to assume the responsibility, which will last from this October to the end of June 2020, first came up at his wife’s elementary school reunion earlier this year. The 73-year old star will appear on the cover of the October edition of the city’s promotional magazine. Source: Asahi Shimbun, 9/27/2018
