Kitakyushu City has unveiled the interior of a new commercial complex under construction at Tanga Market as it prepares to reopen bidding for operators. The four-story building will house market shops on the first floor, dining spaces on the second, and parking on the upper levels, with a planned direct connection to Tanga Monorail Station. The city revised tender conditions after a previous bidder withdrew in February due to rising costs. The minimum sale price has been reduced by more than ¥400 million to ¥805.1 million to reflect inflation and higher interest rates. A new application process is scheduled to begin on April 20.
