The Hakata Gion Yamakasa Promotion Association held a general meeting on November 26, and announced that during this year’s Yamakasa festival, in which Kaki-Yamakasa was revived for the first time in three years, from June 17 to July 19, including the period of the festival, 595 participants were infected with the new coronavirus.The total number of participants was about 5,500, and those infected accounted for more than 10% of the total.
