Fukuoka City announced extensions for tax benefits for the ‘Tenjin Big Bang’ projects. In response to potential project revisions due to the impact of the spread of the new coronavirus, the city introduced the new coronavirus prevention criteria, including the installment of reinforced ventilation facilities, thermal cameras, and larger-sized elevators. Projects which meet these conditions will be allowed two extra years for construction (by the end of 2026.) The city aims to create the world’s first infection-safety urban zone.
