Tenjin Chikagai to Increase Closing Days

The operating company of Tenjin Chikagai announced on October 21 that it would introduce three annual closing days for the shopping mall. It is part of the company’s efforts to improve working conditions for its employees. For 2020, all 152 shops and restaurants will be closed on February 18 and August 18 in addition to the current closing day on January 1. It will be the first time that Tenjin Chikagai will be closed on days other than New Year’s day. Source: Mainichi Shimbun, 10/22/2019
