Prefectural Police and Fukuoka City announced on Sep 11, that the large overhead parking availability signs in Tenjin will be removed at the end of Sep. The signs are more than twenty years old and the cost in replacing them, plus the use of smartphones and navigation systems have meant they are no longer seen as worth keeping and maintaining.
