Three Chinese nationals were arrested in Fukuoka for operating an illegal taxi service, commonly referred to as “white taxis,” without proper permits. The men are accused of transporting a Chinese family from Hakata Port to Dazaifu and back to Fukuoka’s Chuo Ward for a fee of ¥40,000 via a travel app. The suspects, aged between 33 and 37, allegedly coordinated the rides through social media and charged for their services, despite not having legal authorization.
