Three Chinese nationals were arrested in Fukuoka for operating an illegal taxi service, commonly referred to as “white taxis,” without proper permits. The men are accused of transporting a Chinese family from Hakata Port to Dazaifu and back to Fukuoka’s Chuo Ward for a fee of ¥40,000 via a travel app. The suspects, aged between 33 and 37, allegedly coordinated the rides through social media and charged for their services, despite not having legal authorization.
While two suspects deny receiving payments, police are investigating further into the scale and duration of their illegal activities. Source: TNC
