Toppan Printing opened ICT Kobo Ariake, a hub for systems development in Omuta, as part of its efforts to expand its DX division. This is the company’s third DX development hub in Japan after Nagano and Okinawa. Up to now, the company has been conducting proof-of-concept tests to facilitate communication by connecting remote areas with smart glasses and tablets, and it is also developing a sensor to automatically measure the amount of snowfall. In collaboration with Omuta City, Toppan will commence DX-driven initiatives aimed at solving local issues, promoting the adoption of IT and developing IT human resources. Source: FIBA
