Toyota Kyushu Recalls All Seconded Employees

Owing to production cutbacks, Toyota Kyushu sent many of its employees to work at other group companies to avoid laying them off. The recent success of the company’s hybrid vehicles, however, has prompted them to ramp up production again, and they announced that they recalled all the seconded employees when their term of service at other companies concluded at the end of August. The company says it no longer is concerned about an excess number of workers and does not plan to dispatch employees elsewhere for the foreseeable future.
