Toyota Motor Kyushu started a trial run of a zero emission fuel cell bus on Jan. 10. The bus will make four daily round-trips between Kyushu University’s Ito Campus and JR Kyudai Gakken Toshi Station though Jan. 16. Based on the trial results, Toyota will measure the reduction of emissions and determine if the project is economically feasible. The hydrogen fuel cell bus, jointly developed by Toyota Motors and Hino Motors, is slated to go on sale in 2016. According to the makers, it can run 200 – 300 km on one charge.
