Traffic Restriction Information for Fukuoka City for June 8 and 9 – G20 Meetings

Traffic restrictions will be in effect on June 8 and 9 during the G20 Meetings in Fukuoka City. Some gates to the Fukuoka Urban Expressway Inner/Outer Circular Route will be closed during specific period. Please refer to the schedule below for the ramp closures.

6/8 (Sat.)
All day*: Momochi Ramp (entrance/exit for Inner & Outer route)
Around 6 a.m. ~ 2 p.m.: Tsukiguma, Enokida, Kukodori, Hakata Ekihigashi, Gofukumachi and Tenjin-kita (entrance for Inner route)
*except for limited hours late at night.

6/9 (Sun.)
All day*: Momochi Ramp (entrance/exit for Inner & Outer route)
Around 6 a.m. ~ 9 a.m.: Tsukiguma, Enokida, Kukodori, Hakataeki-higashi, Gofukumachi, Tenjin-kita (entrance for Inner route)
Around 5 p.m. ~ 9 p.m.: Nishikoen, Tenjin-kita, Chikko and Chiyo (entrance for Outer route)

*Except for limited hours late at night.
*The schedule above is subject to change.

Congestions are expected in the central area of Fukuoka City as well as specific areas of Fukuoka Urban Expressway while traffic control are in effect. We ask for your cooperation in reducing the traffic. Additional restrictions might take effect due to unexpected traffic jams.

• Showa-dori
• Meiji-dori
• Kokutai-dori
• Sumiyoshi-dori
• Yokatopia-dori
• Watanabe-dori
• Kuko-dori
• Around Canal City

For residents:
Use of public transportation instead of personal cars is recommended.
Please consider planning delivery/collection of personal packages on other days.

For business owners:
Effective operations of trucks and other vehicles are expected; reduced number of shipments, rerouting from the central area of the city and rescheduling to early morning/night shippings. Please refrain from holding a new event and consider rescheduling the existing event in the central area of the city during the Meeting period. If an event is already planned, please advise the use of public transportation to the guests.
