Ureshino City in Saga Prefecture has begun a generous taxi-fee subsidy program for domestic tourists, as of November 1. Over-night guests at participating Ureshino Onsen hot spring accommodations who use taxis to visit sightseeing spots, eateries, or souvenir shops in Nagasaki and Fukuoka’s prefectures can receive up to ¥40,000 in subsidies.
