Use of Garbage Bins and Public Lockers to be Limited During G20

Use of dust boxes and coin lockers in public spaces in Fukuoka City will be limited as a safety precaution during the G20 Fukuoka Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting in Fukuoka City. For the two-day meeting which will be held on June 8 and 9, the city will reinforce security at places including train stations and the airport. Trash cans and lockers will be unavailable to prevent the planting of explosive items. Some of the lockers at Hakata Station will be emptied from June 2 until the meeting is over on June 9.
