Vietnam Airlines has announced an increase in flights between Fukuoka and Hanoi – launching four round trips per week in peak times starting Feb. 2014. This brings the airline’s total to 6 round trips per week between Fukuoka and Vietnam (including the two existing weekly round trips between Fukuoka and Ho Chi Minh). For now, the increase in flights to Hanoi is limited to the busy seasons of Feb./Mar. and Aug./Sep., however the flights may be continued regularly if popular. 2013 marks the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Vietnam.
