WAKEBOARD PARK TO OPEN ON LAKE NAGAYU, OITA ::: Fukuoka-based gemstone and jewelry chain Stone Market has announced plans to open Oita Lake Nagayu Stone Wake Park.There will be an opening ceremony on June 27 and grand opening on July 1. The park is an extension of the company’s efforts to contribute to the community through sports promotion, with a particular focus on wakeboarding. Established in cooperation with Taketa City and the Japan Wakeboard Association, this is the first such joint sports project in Japan. A single-day pass will run ¥5,400 on weekdays and ¥5,900 on weekends. There are also half-day and two-day passes and “Experience Wakeboard” workshops, not to mention equipment is available for rent.
