Starting from February 2024, Kyushu Electric Power Co., Ltd. and Sekisui House, Ltd. will introduce the Tesla Model Y as a part of Kyushu Electric Power’s car-sharing service ‘weev.’ The service will be exclusive to the residents of Sekisui House’s condominium, “Island City Ocean & Forest Tower Residence,” located in the Higashi Ward of Fukuoka City. This is the first time the Tesla Model Y will be introduced in a car-sharing service exclusively for condominium residents nationwide.
The “Island City Ocean & Forest Tower Residence” is a large tower condominium with a total of 620 units located in Kashiiteriha, Higashi Ward, Fukuoka City. The West Tower was completed in August 2022, and the East Tower is slated for completion in November 2023. Kyushu Electric Power has also introduced its EV charging service “PRiEV” for collective housing in the condominium, providing 40 slots equipped for EV charging.
