According to the police, at around 6:30 a.m. on November 1, a woman in her 70s was walking on a street in Ouchi-cho, Karatsu City, when a wild boar approached her from behind and suddenly bit her right leg. The woman returned home independently and called the police and fire department. The woman received stitches on her right thigh and abrasions on her face and shoulder. The boar that bit the woman was about 1 meter long and fled after the incident. According to Karatsu City, this is the city’s first reported attack by a boar on a human this year. Source: KBC
