Yaskawa Electric Corporation in Kitakyushu City and Hirata Corporation in Kumamoto City will join the first nationwide industry-academia organization for robot engineering. The Consortium of Human Education for Future Robot System Integration (CHERSI) will be established by the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry in December 2020. Seven manufacturers (Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd., Denso Corporation, and more), as well as system developers, will collaborate in providing onsite training curriculums and lectures for students at five to six technical colleges.
