Yatai Operators Given More Space and Permission to Add Tables

Fukuoka City has given yatai (mobile food stall) operators temporary permission to use tables at local yatai stalls. While the city’s ordinance requires these shops to operate within a space of 2.5 x 3 meters, their usable area will be expanded to 2.5 x 5 meters to allow the placement of a two-person table on each end. The relaxed rules will be in effect until the end of November to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus. Source: Asahi / RKB
