Map publishing company Zenrin (Kitakyushu City) and New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) conducted their first demonstration experiment of a drone automatic flight support system on June 2. This was done using a three dimensional map at a school site in Kitakyushu City. Zenrin is developing measures such as a “3D map data to show safe flight course for drones”, “drone control program using mobile communication networks” and more to make use of an automatic flight support system.
