A fiercely competitive weekend of racing comes to Oita this weekend! The Autopolis Super 2&4 Race 2012 runs for two days, May 26~27, with both two-wheel and four-wheel race categories. Fans of bikes will be impressed by the “ST600” 600cc races, in which riders carve up the tracks on the same types of 600cc motorbikes that can be bought commercially. But if it’s formula racing you’re into, the FN (Formula Nippon) will get your blood pumping. FN is Japan’s top level of single-seater racing, and the FN races at Autopolis are known for qualifying players for acceptance into F1. This year, the champion drivers from the past five years of Autopolis will take part in the race, so competition is expected to be intense. Some of the top drivers participating are Joao Paulo Lima de Oliviera (Brazil), André Lotterer (Germany), Loïc Duval (France) and Tsugio Matsuda (Japan). Over the two days you can also indulge in the food festival or see the drivers and race queens up close at the event stage. Advance tickets are available from Lawson Ticket, Ticket Pia, Seven Eleven, e+ (e-plus) and the Autopolis website.
