Interested in learning about Halal food? Attend Japan’s first Halal Expo right here in Fukuoka on Feb. 25! Halal foods are foods that Muslims are allowed to eat under Islamic dietary guidelines. The criteria specify both what foods are allowed, and how the food must be prepared. At the Japan Halal Expo you can sample a wide range of Halal foods and find your favorites. You’ll find the following halal foods: ramen, soba, udon, gyoza, curry, miso, shoyu, dango, pudding, pasta, amazake (non-alcoholic) and more! There will also be an open forum, however advance reservation is required by email. The event is supported by Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Foreign Trade Association, JR Kyushu, Kumamoto Prefecture, Kyushu Economic Federation, Saga Prefecture.
