Fukuoka Airport Beer Terrace – Beer Air 2016: Last Flight
Beer Air has become a summer tradition at Fukuoka Airport, but with upcoming construction work, this will be the last Beer Air event to take place on the observation deck. This beer garden is easy to get to by subway (15 min. from the city center), and is great for everyone, not just those traveling through the airport. While most suitable for beer drinkers, Beer Air is appropriate for families and offers a fantastic view of the aeroplanes taking off and landing. Instead of the light jazz or tinkly tunes you usually hear in a bar or restaurant, listen to the rush and roar of airplane engines! Eateries from inside the airport serve a variety of delicious food at the all-you-can-eat buffet (including Gari Gari Kun popsicles!). The beer garden will be open for 127 days. Visit during the day or evening. A group discount is available in the evenings: ¥4,300 per person for groups of 20 or more. Bookings must be made in advance (registration is already open): call by 21:00 the day before for daytime registrations, and by 13:00 the same day for evening registrations. Book now to avoid disappointment! Please note: all seats are non-smoking, closed in case of inclement weather.

Bonus: Fukuoka Now visited Beer Air on its 2016 opening weekend, check out the full report here.

This summer at Bayside Place you can enjoy a classic buffet-style beer garden by the sea. In accordance with the theme, this year there will be a new stage, the “Bayside Stage”, where you can catch carefully selected performances. There’s a beer hall, where you can enjoy a course of fine dishes and all you can drink (and some performances), and a BBQ terrace, where there’s Italian-style barbecue and unlimited drinks.
