Japanese hina dolls are on display at locations throughout Iizuka City, such as the former samurai residence Aso Ouraso and the Kaho Gekijo Kabuki Theater. This year’s theme explores Japanese festivals through the eyes of hina dolls. The display will make references to the Nebuta Matsuri in Tohoku, the Yamaboko floats that appear in the Gion Matsuri, and Hakata Yamakasa. Don’t miss the display of 500~800 hina dolls at the Former Residence of Ito Denemon! Please be aware that the participating venues will be exhibiting dolls at different times throughout the festival period.
