At this annual Itoshima event you can quaff beer while sampling your very-own freshly picked and boiled edamame. The ticket price includes all-you-can-pick/eat edamame and there will be stalls at the event selling Kirin beer made from Itoshima-grown barley as well as Itoshima draught beer and snacks. If you want to take edamame home, there are additional fees. For edamame harvesting, bring clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty, boots, towel, hat, etc. To register, click ‘attend’ on the event’s Facebook page and then pay on the gate. In case of rain, the organisers will announce whether the event will go ahead at 08:00 on the day of the event.
