Miyajidake Jinja Shrine, known for its beautiful stairway and path connecting the shrine to the sea, is also where you can see 100,000 Edo Japanese irises (100 species) and a nighttime light-up (~21:00) . At 10:00 on May 31 (Wed.), white-clad Shinto priests harvest irises, which the miko (shrine maidens) then hold during a sacred dance.
