Miyajidake Shrine, known for its beautiful stairway and path connecting the shrine to the sea, is also where you can see 100,000 Edo Japanese irises (100 species) in bloom. The flowers are also lit up at night until 9 p.m. And join the shrine’s photo contest (from May 31 to Jun. 15) by uploading your photos of the flowers to Instagram with the hashtag “＃宮地嶽神社菖蒲まつり”. Winners will be contacted by the shrine via direct message on Instagram.
