The Kitakyushu Municipal Museum of Art is hosting a special exhibition of work by the English Romantic painter and watercolourist Joseph Mallord William Turner (1775-1851) to celebrate their re-opening. Turner and the Poetics of Landscape features 181 pieces of artwork gathered from various British and Japanese institutions. The display examines the enduring appeal of Turner and explores the mesmerizing quality of his work. Enjoy creations by one of the UK’s greatest ever landscape painters, while discovering more about his life and body of work.
