Fukuoka Welcome Campaign Kicks Off

To encourage more foreign tourists to come and enjoy Fukuoka City, YokaNavi (a tourist information site run by Fukuoka City, the Fukuoka Convention & Visitors Bureau, local governments, and other affiliated companies) are holding the “Fukuoka Welcome Campaign” again this year. Shops and restaurants across the city will be offering special discounts and even free gifts for foreign visitors, including 23 shops in Tenjin. Participating retailers and eateries will clearly display the campaign logo (a red lantern on which is written “Fukuoka Welcome Campaign”) or the tax-free mark. The Fukuoka Welcome Sale Call Center will be open every day throughout the campaign to offer guidance for foreign tourists in ten different languages, including English, Korean, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Russian, and Indonesian. Contact them on 092-687-4963 (from overseas: +81-92-687-4963), 10:00~24:00. Official website: http://yokanavi.com/welcomecampaign/
